One of my favorite reality shows was the Tia and Tamera show that aired on Style Network! Both sisters are TRUE Hollymomtresses and is always refreshing to see these beautiful talented positive twinsies juggle their careeer, marriage and mommyhood without cat fights and petty drama! We need more of that in our reality world.
One of Tia's besties, who was featured on the show several times was the stunning Kam Horne. She is also a Hollymomtress and makes it look FLAWLESS! Isn't she gorgeous? After bumping into her at Walmart and instantly recognizing her from the show, she agreed to chit chat with me on how she and her industry family juggles it all:)
My house is usually pretty empty during the day. My son Boston and my eldest son Armond both leave for school in the mornings. My Husband leaves for work and our sitter comes by a few days a week so that I can make my auditions, meetings, etc.
For years we had a wonderful Nanny/sitter who used to help with both of my little ones, but she moved to Atlanta a few months ago. We now rely on more of our close family members and after school programs and athletic activities for Boston.
I love my family and make them a priority so no matter how busy our days are, we make time to reconnect during and after dinner. I love the Industry I work in and enjoy getting glammed up for different red carpet events, etc...but once I get home I'm just good old dependable Mom & Wife:-) There's really no true balance, it's more of a juggling act because our schedules/agendas are different and sporadic at times. I have become a pro at multi-taking over the years, and our family has thrived from the all the juggling. It's more of a lifestyle for us.
I've learned that when you love someone enough, you will be more than happy to do everything in your power to make sure they have what they need. It makes the juggling act easier.
My daughter just celebrated her 3rd Birthday, and I got inspired to do handmade party favors, cupcake cones etc... to go along with the Doc McStuffins theme. I will be posting pics and instructions on my blog soon!: www.stylesavvymom.com
We have a family of five, and my Husband and I are happy with this number:-) Our kids are at the age where they can get the most out of family trips and I love that because I love to travel.
